A Channel Classification Scheme Accounting for Nakagami-m Shadowing and FTR Model

چکیده

In this letter, we address the problem of channel classification. Specifically, consider five models also accounting for incoming fifth generation mobile communication network (5G). The classification is formulated in terms a multiple hypothesis testing and solved through heuristic decision logic relying on sequential binary comparisons. This choice dictated by mathematical intractability probability density functions (PDFs) under some hypotheses which contain transcendental functions. As consequence, rules raising from well-known design criteria based upon data distribution might suffer numerical instability related to routines used implement such PDFs. performance analysis conducted simulated shows effectiveness proposed strategy

Effective capacity of a correlated Nakagami-m fading channel

The grail of next-generation wireless networks is providing real-time services for delay-sensitive applications, which require that the wireless networks provide QoS guarantees. The effective capacity (EC) proposed by Wu and Negi provides a powerful tool for design of QoS provisioning mechanisms. In this paper, we intend to generalize their formula for the effective capacity of a correlated Ray...

Ergodic Capacity for the SIMO Nakagami-m Channel

This paper presents closed-form expressions for the ergodic channel capacity of SIMO (single-input and multiple output) wireless systems operating in a Nakagami-m fading channel. As the performance of SIMO channel is closely related to the diversity combining techniques, we present closed-form expressions for the capacity of maximal ratio combining (MRC), equal gain combining (EGC), selection c...

A two-dimensional channel simulation model for shadowing processes

A Gaussian random process with a given power spectral density (PSD) function can be modeled as a sum of sinusoids (SOS), and has been widely used to simulate Rayleigh-fading communication channels. The conventional one-dimensional (1-D) channel model cannot capture the spatial correlation of shadowing processes. We here develop a two-dimensional (2-D) SOS-based channel model to simulate the sha...
